Capturing Garden Beauty

My garden is a place of wonder, beauty, and peace. When I work among the flowers and plants, I find time to slow down, meditate, and reflect on the many things in life. Nature continually inspires me with its endless variety of color, shape, and texture, and through my Capturing Garden Beauty series, I want to share that sense of joy and wonder with others.

Each one-of-a-kind piece is created using Oceanside compatible glass, along with crushed glass and frit. I create my own unique color palettes by melting different colors of frit together to make custom glass elements for my flowers. I also hand-pull glass stringers to create delicate stems and make my own hand-pulled murrini in a special kiln in my studio. These small pieces are incorporated into the flowers as intricate accents, adding depth, movement, and unexpected details.

No two flowers in nature are exactly alike, and I embrace that same individuality in my glass. Each piece develops its own character through the colors, patterns, and details I carefully layer into the glass.
